The purpose of the light was to provide a way for mariners to determine whether or not they were approaching the Duluth Harbor entrance straight on or not. The Two Harbors lighthouse was built in the late 1890s. My wife and I were training her to be a service dog for Helping Paws. After a year and a half of training, it was decided to withdraw her from the training program due to some allergy and fear concerns. She was placed as a pet with a good friend of mine who owns a small horse farm.
