A guy I once worked with when I was in college introduced me to the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Crash_test_dummies\">Crash Test Dummies<\/a>.  I&#8217;ve only bought one of their albums, but I love almost every track on that album.  This particular <a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?playlistId=400811&#038;s=143441&#038;i=400803\">song<\/a>, I love, because of the clever lyrics.  Here&#8217;s a sample:<\/p>\n<p><em>So he said: Once there was a boy<br \/>\nWho woke up with blue hair<br \/>\nTo him it was a joy<br \/>\nUntil he ran out into warm air &#8211;<br \/>\nHe thought of how his friends would come to see;<br \/>\nAnd would they laugh, or had he got some strange disease?<\/p>\n<p>God shuffled his feet and glanced around at them;<br \/>\nThe people cleared their throats and stared right back at him<\/p>\n<p>The people sat waiting<br \/>\nOut on their blankets in the garden<br \/>\nBut God said nothing<br \/>\nSo someone asked him, &#8220;I beg your pardon:<br \/>\nI&#8217;m not quite clear about what you just spoke &#8211;<br \/>\nWas that a parable, or a very subtle joke?&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Couple those lyrics with their lead singer&#8217;s unusual bass voice and it makes for a very memorable song indeed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;Pete<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have eclectic tastes in music.
